EU authorizes insect products in poultry and pig feed

The Regulatory Commission of the European Union gave the authorization, on August 18, 2021, to use processed animal proteins derived from insects (PAPs) in poultry feed (IPIFF article on this subject). This new legislation marks a significant advance in the insect industry and sets a precedent for future Canadian legislation.
