Natural Products Canada is proud to launch a first-of-its-kind report on Canada’s insect agriculture industry with a new document, Game Changers: Canadian movers and shakers in the burgeoning industry of insects as food and feed.

The document outlines the significant companies, researchers and activities within this new industry, explaining its place in the global stage of sustainable food and agricultural sectors.

The report highlights the over 30 companies involved in the industry in Canada, and explains how a variety of insects are being used in a range of markets such as: feed for production animals, including the growing aquaculture industry; pet food and treats; human nutrition, including cricket powder and products containing insects such as snack bars and chips; and soil inputs such as fertilizers.
